Get Console is a powerful and complete terminal app that provides physical serial console access to network and other equipment as well as SSHv2, Telnet, Scripting, TFTP Server, full Logging, integration with Dropbox, iCloud and instant Screen Sharing. Please read below for Full information.

Features:

- Serial Connectivity: Use our Airconsole (Serial over Wifi or Bluetooth Low Energy), or Redpark L2-RJ45 and L2-RJ45V physical cables to provide direct Serial Console port access to supported equipment (Adapt L2-RJ45 Cable to DB9, DEX or DB25 with adaptors available at www.get-console.com)

- Full Terminal: Also provides Telnet and SSH(v2) terminal (over Wifi or 3G). VT100 emulation. Supports password authentication, generate or import SSH Keys easily via clipboard

- Multi Session: run concurrent Serial, SSH and Telnet sessions in tabs, and cut/paste between sessions. Each session runs independently and can be backgrounded.

Many Many Advanced Terminal Features:
- Powerful Scripting of terminal sessions allows for automation of many common terminal tasks, including auto-responding to terminal output and auto-upload of log files.

- Easily share your iPad/iPhones terminal window with remote web users to provide remote access to your console sessions - useful for remote support, teaching or for Disaster Recovery

- Connection Manager for organizing Serial / Telnet / SSH saved sessions which can be imported/exported via iTunes

- Free web based conversion utility to convert existing PuTTY and SecureCRT(r) saved connections into Get Console format.

- Fully configurable terminal settings including baud rate, parity, flow control, scroll buffer and column width

- Integrated Cut/Copy/Paste directly from terminal window and slide-out clipboard viewer

- Integrated TFTP Server for WIFI/3G upload and download of files

- Bluetooth Keyboard Support

- Rapid configuration of common configuration tasks via shortcuts (common command drop down) and pre-configured (and user changeable) shortcut buttons

- Free integrated cloud storage on get-console.com or Dropbox.com for log files and configuration scripts - integrates directly into your iPad or iPhone ready for pasting to console window

- full logging of terminal session to individual session files that can be attached to emails, downloaded via iTunes or uploaded to your own repository on the get-console.com website

***NOTE*** Serial Connectivity requires either our Airconsole Adaptor, or a supported Redpark cable to work - part code L2-RJ45V - purchase from www.get-console.com/shop or from redpark.com directly. Does NOT work with Redpark C2 or L2-DB9 cable. If DB9, Null Modem or DB-25 connectivity is required, use an adaptor also available from our website.

Pros and cons of Get Console app for iPhone and iPad

Get Console app good for

I stumbled across this app and instantly knew that i urgently need this serial adapter and of course this app. Two days ago i received the adapter, installed the app on my iPhone 3GS, connected to my 3com/HP switch console port and it really works like a charm. Thanks!
So far its working with any device I tried it with. Lots of features and very easy to use. Well worth the price, from now on my laptop can stay at home.
The program is working fine once you get used to all the functions. The Script function is working perfect and impressive: I tested a script with HP switch 2610-48 and it was working very well. Biggest Drawback of the program is the max. Baudrate of 57KB only. I needed the program to check a device which is only working with 125KB. Hopefully there will be a new cable / update coming soon.
When I try to switch beetween apps it looses connection to the bluetooth adapter. Also an resiye for the bigger screen would be fine and also updates in mode to use it with splitscreen. But beside of that I am very happy with this app. I can configure switches on console and can sit down in a different room to configure it
For a networking guy this app + the serial cable is a perfect laptop killer. I use it for Cisco Nexus and Cisco UCS even though they arent really supported, along with all my 3750X switches, ASA firewalls and anything else I have handy. I have a couple issues with it seemingly ignoring certain keystrokes on my zaggmate keyboard but the app itself seems very solid and has already created a big stir in my networking group - Ive already convinced others to buy it as well.
Works great even on DB9, just make or buy an RJ45 to DB9 adapter (they sell them for $4 where you buy the cable). Yet one more nail in the laptop coffin!

Some bad moments

Was a great product, but crashes at every launch since IOS 9.1 ...
Telnet is still ok but ssh is not working anymore abd the app crash
Nice Software, but for Field Service unusable, because the telnet text is always hidden by the keyboard. you can switch the keyboard semi transparent, but for fast working on systems this is not workable. please add a setting to display the text only above the keyboard. then you will get 5 stars
My (new) air console device (companion product for Get Console) died on a flight back from a customer some weeks ago. Since then Ive been trying to get support or at least any kind of contact with the vendor but all my mail were ignored and nobody answers the phone. I spent €139 on a brick. Dont do the same. Worst service experience ever.
Pretty excited only to be let down by a 9 dollar app and a 70 dollar cable... i will admit i didnt make an informed purchase, but its a freaking app and cable - dont say its a console when there is no support or development completed for the c2db9 i hooked my cisco console cable to this one hoping it would be good - just like my usb to serial i have to use as my laptop has no serial on board... and...nothing...then i read online that theyre hoping to have support for it...funny im hoping i could have my money back until your app works =P so myself and the other suckers who purchased early are simply waiting for the product to work for us... if they can get it working, then i will give a positive review.
This is another one of these classically designed apps for the Apple store that barely works and every time theres an iOS update it doesnt work well. I purchased the app and have tried to use it with just standard, run-of-the-mill SSH connections and if you swap apps or try and go in and out to get commands or build a script between the app and others it crashes on iOS 9.1 on an iPhone 6 Plus. Also, the way the interface is designed, it is pretty annoying to use the keyboard. It doesnt centre the screen on the scrollback to the top of the KB, so youre hiding the keyboard often to even SEE the results of a command. So the guys here said that it makes it so they dont need a notebook… And I guess it really dirty pinch you can use it. Id sooner use a surface tablet at that point... Which defeats the whole purpose of walking in with a functional iPhone or iPad mini and programming changes on a switch. I would buy the Redpark cable for this, but with the way this app both crashes and has a poor interface - Im seriously hesitant to do so and you should be too unless its improved.
